From translation to publication.
A huge variety of systems and programs are used for creating texts. Consequently, translations and localised texts are processed and published in many different formats.
Using the very latest technology we can process and translate all standard file formats directly. Our seamless workflow greatly reduces costs and processing time, and the potential for errors.
Our desktop publishing services:
- Adjusting the layout of translations to match the source document, in the relevant DTP programs
- Adjusting and swapping graphics, tables of contents, indexes, cross-references and extended characters
- Implementing company-specific in-house features and style guides
- Galley proof correction in all languages
File formats that we process for you:
Translation of texts in DTP and office formats
Translation of texts in graphic and CAD formats
- Adobe FreeHand
- Adobe Illustrator
Translation of CMS, PIM, ERP, TYPO3 and WinCC content, and software localisation
- Other CMS export formats
- WinCC (Siemens Simatic)
Tip: Different languages have different lengths. For example, a French translation is on average 25% longer than a German or English source text.
For this reason, you should allow enough space in the layout for translations right at the start, when you are creating your texts. The same applies to all compact formats such as displays, websites, and user interfaces.
For information about modifications to software, websites and texts with length restrictions, please get in touch with our contact person.
