If you would like to receive the newsletter offered by our website we require an e-mail address from you and information to allow us to verify that you are the owner of this e-mail address provided and you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis. We will only use this data to send the requested information and it will not be forwarded to third parties.
Data entered in the newsletter registration form is only processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent given to store your data, e-mail address and the use of such to send the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in our newsletter. This website uses the services of MailChimp to send newsletters. The provider is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
MailChimp is a service which can organize and analyse sending newsletters. If you enter data for the purpose of the subscribing to the newsletter (such as your e-mail address), this will be stored on the servers of MailChimp in the USA.
MailChimp is certified according to the EU-US Privacy Shield. The Privacy Shield is a framework agreed between the European Union (EU) and the USA which guarantees that European data protection standards will be adhered to in the USA.
We are able to analyse our newsletter campaigns with the assistance of MailChimp. If you open an e-mail sent by MailChimp a file contained in the e-mail (a so-called web beacon) connects to the MailChimp servers in the USA. This can determine whether a newsletter email has been opened and what links have been clicked on. In addition technical information is collected (such as time accessed, IP address, browser type and operating system, for example). This information cannot be attributed to an individual recipient of the newsletter. It merely helps with the statistical analysis of the newsletter campaign. The results of this analysis may be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipient.
If you do not want MailChimp to analyse your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide an unsubscribe link in every newsletter. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The lawfulness of data already processed remains unaffected by such withdrawal.
The data you have provided to us for the purpose of the sending the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and then it will be erased both from our servers and also from MailChimp's servers. Data that you have provided to us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
Data processing agreement
We have entered into a data processing agreement with MailChimp in which we obligate MailChimp to protect our customers’ data and to not disclose such data to third parties. The agreement can be viewed at the following link: https://mailchimp.com/legal/forms/data-processing-agreement/sample-agreement/.
