oneword at the 2025 tcworld conference
Once again this year, the tcworld conference 2025 – the largest industry event for technical communication – was a complete success. From 11 to 13 November, experts from the fields of technical editing and translation met at the ICS in Stuttgart to discuss the latest developments, technologies and best practices. We at oneword were right in the thick of it – as exhibitors, with presentations and exciting activities.
New and traditional
Due to a reorganisation of the exhibition hall, this year we moved to a new stand location in the foyer. This proved to be a stroke of luck: clearly visible and in the centre of the action, our stand was always well attended. Once again this year, we had many fascinating conversations with clients, partners and interested visitors. The topics of AI-supported translation, terminology management and the search for suitable tools for translation workflows, terminology management and review processes were particularly popular. We were able to score points here with our Language Technology Platform oneSuite.
One highlight was our now traditional stand party on the first evening: with snacks, drinks and music, we were able to deepen our conversations in a relaxed atmosphere and toast to the next days of the conference together.
Presentations and workshops
In 2025, we once again contributed to the programme of the conference and Technology Day with a series of presentations and workshops. Our topics struck a chord with the industry:
- Terminology for AI – recipes for successful glossary creation (Jasmin Nesbigall, Head of MTPE and Terminology Management)
- The risk factor of misunderstandings – How DIN ISO 11669 reduces translation risks (Eva-Maria Tillmann, Head of Quality Management)
- Linguistic prompt engineering for translation and quality estimation: Practice for PMs and decision-makers (Juliane Schwab, Head of oneSuite, and Marc Mittag, MittagQI/translate5)
- Quality estimation. Disrupting the translation (industry). Whether raw MT, post-editing or evaluation (Juliane Schwab, Head of oneSuite, and Marc Mittag, MittagQI/translate5)

oneQuiz and guided tour
At the popular oneQuiz on our stand this year, we raffled off two LEGO Star Wars R2-D2s. The much sought-after kits are already on their way to the lucky winners Andrea B. and Cathrin L. Congratulations and have fun assembling them!
Another highlight was that the tcworld guided tour stopped at our stand for the first time. Jasmin Nesbigall showed the participants in a lightning-speed mini-workshop and with a football analogy how tasks are distributed between technical writers and translation service providers to make a translation project a success.
Dialogue and impetus
The most important element of tcworld for us remains personal dialogue. The in-person discussions provide us with valuable impetus to further develop our solutions and better fulfil the needs of our clients.
The tcworld conference 2025 was once again a complete success for us and a lot of fun for our entire conference team. We would like to thank all our visitors for the inspiring discussions and positive feedback on our presentations and our stand. This motivates us to be there again next year with plenty of energy!
